Update Feb 28 2005 the aircraft is in service.

There are some changes to talk about.
The plane is now located in a hangar. Look for the American Flag; the combo is the same as the gas tank. The keys are now located hanging on a nail directly in the center of the hangar at the rear. If the airplane were pulled in nose first (recommended) they would be right in front of the spinner. The hangar is tight so make sure you pull in with the wheels right on the tape on the floor. There is a winch for your convenience to help get the plane over the hump it has a remote handheld switch just play with it a little before you use it with the airplane to get a feel for it. Questions Call me. Jack

Please watch out for the ditch when you cross over to the runway. You must get a good angle of 10 to 20 degrees or you will hit the prop or drag the tail. Questions? call me Jack

Everyone should call me and get a briefing before they use the plane for the first time. I will give you the combination to the fuel, where the key will be located and how to schedule the plane.
There are a lot of new things to consider. First is location and operation. We are now based out of Hilliard. Obviously there is not the security there that was afforded us at the Guard Base. Everyone must me vigilant when it comes to security. The Aircraft must be LOCKED at all times, all doors. It is easy to forget the baggage door or the passenger door, so slow down and think. I have added cowl plugs and a Plane Cover is on the way. They both should be installed at all times.
While on security, please make sure the lock on the tank is LOCKED. I have found the tank on Base unlocked many times, no big deal there, but in Hilliard it may be a \\$700.00 mistake, so please make sure it is locked.
Remember too, that Hilliard is a soft field. If you need to get current in operation from this environment do so with an Instructor. Think about Aircraft loading and field condition before you attempt to fly. Most of the time it should not be a problem, Don’t be dead wrong!
Fueling should be straightforward. There is and emergency power switch and a fire extinguisher located on the north wall of the hanger where the tank is. I will be putting a log in the book for fuel, I would like for everyone to start putting the meter reading off of the pump in the log book in order to track fuel usage.

If you have questions call or email me.

The new rental rate is \\$65.00 per hour for NONFANG members.

Thanks,
Jack

I must stress this again.......

If you have any problems with the aircraft or something is broke you must CALL me ASAP. I can't get it fixed if I don't know about it!!!!! Please get a hold of me!! All my numbers are on the page so there is no reason you can't get me!!!

You must now go to the calendar from the web page!

I have tried to make this simple! The old page is at the link above, or here

Please check the Web Page for information and updates before you book the airplane. We must be able to share information to make this thing work smoothly since we do not have regular meetings. I think this method is easier then having meetings. Or we could start having regular meetings and members that do not attend would not be allowed to fly that month. You be the judge.

I have cut the first page down to just a few things so it should be quick to load. Feedback is welcome.

As of JUNE 1, 2000, The Aero Club will NOT pay for any fuel for what ever reason! I will try to keep the tank full, if it's getting low CALL ME!

If The Aero Club tank is empty and you want to fly YOU will have to pay for the fuel. If you fly cross country and buy fuel, The Aero Club WILL NOT reimburse!
If you have any questions call me!

Look on your invoice for your member number. Please put this number in the memo section of your check. You need not return a copy or printout of your invoice unless there is a problem with your bill. Thanks for all your help.

Please make sure I have your current email address.

Please do not lay any items on the glare shield, such as kneeboards, head phones, Clip boards, ect. It causes scratches and chafe marks on the windshield. It is already in poor condition, but please do not make it any worse! Would you do that to your airplane? Well do not to it to this one!!
Thanks, Jack

Ok guys, This is not an FBO rental aircraft!!!
Please take care when you fuel the aircraft not to over service it! The fuel nozzle is NOT the auto shutoff version. You must monitor the fueling and stop it manually. Do not over flow the tank and let fuel run over the wing! If you are having a problem with the fueling procedure call me and I will show you how to do it.

I expect you to clean up the aircraft after you use it! Remove your trash! Leave it better than you found it!

This is really a great airplane, with all your help we can keep it that way!

Remember THIS IS NOT AN FBO RENTAL!!!! Don't treat it like one!!!

As always if you have any questions feel free to call me at any time.
